Being the gateway to Deer Creek State Park with its 2337 acre lake, boating, camping, golfing, canoeing, hiking, swimming, gun range, horse back riding, and fishing are just a few minutes away.  Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center offers first class lodging and cabins and Deer Creek's State Park Campground offers that getaway from the hectic city life. All of this is just 20 minutes from Columbus.

But Mount Sterling is more than just a tourist town. We are experiencing industrial growth as well as residential expansion. With I 71 only three miles away, a new medical center just 12 miles away and renewed interest in our historical district (listed on the National Register of Historic Places), Mount Sterling is a prime location for industrial, commercial and residential growth.

We would like to thank TORKS (The Ohio Radio Kontrol Society) for their generous donation to our chamber!! Pictured below are TORKS Director Bob Wenger, Chamber President and new mayor Bill Martin, and TORKS President Terry Nitsch. TORKS operates a first class radio controlled airplane airstrip at Deer Creek State Park near the beach. We are proud to be associated with this great organization and hope you take the opportunity to make the short drive to Deer creek and witness these amazing planes that can reach speeds of over 200 miles per hour. They flying most weekends weather permitting. Click on the TORKS logo to the left to learn more. Thank you again!!!
